Dear Tammy,
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and now Christmas is almost upon us! Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the continuing opportunity to provide our programs during a time which has proven to be so turbulent for so many families in Inland Valley. Because of supporters like you, Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley continues to serve as a needed beacon of hope for those who seek improved living conditions and for those who strive for the dream of homeownership.
This has been a unique year for us. As on organization, we have shifted our new building efforts to those of rehabilitation and neighborhood stabilization. As a result, ten deserving families will receive the keys to their new homes early next year. In addition, we have expanded our repair and maintenance program, Helping Hands, as well as opened a second ReStore in Lake Elsinore. But while our program continues to expand, the need for affordable housing is at an all time high.
We continue to believe that decent shelter provides the foundation from which families can address other needs, and we are proud of our unique and holistic solution to transforming lives and communities. Providing decent, affordable housing in partnership with families who need it - and with so many individuals, groups, and organizations helping - is what our mission is all about.
We ask for your continuing support of our mission.
Blessings,
Gary Thornhill President [Click for a form to support our effort]

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley ReStore is expanding! On November 16th, a new

the same great discounts on new and gently used home improvement items
including furniture.

excited to offer the same quality home improvement items to the Lake Elsinore community and we urge residents to stop by and see
what great things we have to offer".

shutters, brick, stone, appliances, furniture and more.

Green Tips of the Month
Keeping the Holidays Green
Use LED Lights Switching to LEDs (light emitting diodes) is 90% more efficient than incandescent lighting. LEDs don't get as hot as traditional lights, lowering the risk of fire, and if one bulb goes out, the rest of the string still works. They last longer, too.
Also, limit the number of hours you keep them turned on with a timer, and be sure to turn them off before going to bed.
Give and Wrap Green When selecting gifts, choose gifts made from recycled sources and/or those that are battery-free such as books. Additionally, gifts of service and outings such as concerts, require little or no use of natural resources, and are very personal and memorable.
Cut the waste from tossed-aside wrappings and create your own wrapping paper. Use tissue paper or grocery store bags with holiday stamps to make a fun and festive project. If you must have traditional paper, try Pristine Planet (pristineplanet.com) for recycled paper and biodegradable ribbon.
